Chromium - nickel - molybdenum steel for applications requiring high tensile and

toughness values, in particular in large cross sections in the quenched and tempered condition.

The molybdenum addition prevents the steel from being susceptible to temper

brittleness.

4 Applications

Highly stressed components with large cross section for air craft, auto motive and mechanical engine ring, such as

propeller shafts, connecting rods, gear shafts, cranks hafts, landing gear components. Heavy forgings, such as

rotors, shafts and discs. For economic performance under severe dynamic stresses, parts must by designed for

optimum strength.
