3. Main Characteristics

Nickel-chrome–molybdenum-vanadium vanadium steel for hardening in the stream of air or in oil with high hardenability. The steel has high hardness after hardening, good resistance to the tempering, good toughness and good firmness during the heat. Is resists quick temperature changes and also thermal fatigue. The steel is well-workable during the heat and well-workable in the soft-annealed state.

4. Applications

This steel is used to construct:

Block for dies, hammers and pile drivers

Rams for power hammers

Hot mill rolls

Very hard cold work dies and punches

Annealed or Quenched and Tempered; HB max 240
